Refining
Gold and silver mine doré and precious-metal scrap are refined through a sequence of preparation, sampling, purification and casting stages.
The material flow is illustrated below:
- Receive and identify mine doré or jewellery scrap.
- Homogenise, sample and melt the material.
- Carry out the agreed chemical refining and purity assessment.
- Cast or form the refined metal and prepare the agreed documentation.
